Since WW prevents me from indulging in food too much during these lazy days of summer, I've turned my attentions to books and TV.
As for books, I read the 50 Shades books and the Nicky Charles books. Couldn't put them down but I now feel like I have a nasty hangover from fluff. I watched the movie "Never Let Me Go" with Keira Knightley so I think I'll read Ishiguro Kazuo next. Definitely a fluff cure.
As for TV, I've completely caught up on Downton Abbey and Mad Men and I'm in season 3 of Battlestar Galactica. How was this show not more popular? I know it's a cult hit but it should've been a primetime hit. For fluff, I keep watching the two seasons of Bob's Burgers. I LOVE his kids.
My goals in life are simple: to love my dog, love my family, love myself, love my God and to live deeply, simply, creatively, and passionately. Sounds simple, eh?

Favorite New Burger
Careful, it's messy!
Bubba brand burger (low-fat), whole-wheat sandwich thins, guacamole, salsa, cheddar (light), vegetarian refried beans, tortilla chips (homemade), lettuce, tomato and onion. Make it lower in points by skipping the cheese and sandwich thins!
Homemade chips are simply corn tortillas cut however and baked at 400 for 10 minutes.
Next up, a pizza burger and a Thai burger!

Skunked
Maisy has been indirectly skunked once and directly skunked once. Apparently, I have a skunk visitor every night even though I have Nothing! the skunk could possibly want. I've done the research. Methinks some trapping an releasing could be in my future.
However, I am pleased to discover that the horrendous, nose-burning odor that is a direct spray is not difficult to remove. I bathed Maisy with a 1/4 cup baking soda, a quart hydrogen peroxide and a teaspoon of dish soap. Massage it in, careful on the face, sit for a couple minutes and rinse. Febreze the house. Wash your clothes and towels or discard. Because the skunk spray was fresh, this worked well.
Just don't smell between her eyes...

A hummus discovery!
Hummus on one side of a sandwich tastes VERY GOOD with guacamole on the other side. Plus, it's a healthy alternative to cheese; just add lean turkey and veggies and whole-wheat sandwich thins. I must remember.

WW Updates
I am still on the Weight Watchers and I am still very much pleased with its ease. It has been about five weeks and I am down about 12 pounds. I am not exactly sure because I estimated my starting weight but I do know that I'm already wearing my skinny clothes. I plan on losing about 12 more pounds and getting into a size 8. Maybe a 6? Who knows... I'll stop when my motivation wanes (my motivation being that I want to look hot while I'm still young).
Beyond some smart cooking and restaurant avoiding, some of my favorites are photographed below.
Mealwise, I'm loving my vegetarian split pea soup, thin crust veggie pizza, tuna salad, macaroni casseroles made with cottage cheese and sandwiches made with hummus, turkey and vegetables. Otherwise, portion control, mindful eating, cover everything in vegetables like lettuce, and more meat and produce but less dairy and carbs.
