Mucho thanks to my dad for taking my old cabinet and transforming it into these perfect wine cubbies! Also, thanks to Russel for helping me to install the finished cabinet and the underlying microwave (scary process...nothing like the threat of many pounds falling on your new glass cooktop). Thanks to myself for the painting and, most importantly, the vision! Here's to finding inspiration on the internet!

Before I bought the house |
The original owner's wife was so proud... but I found it a little boring |
After removing the existing cabinet, after installing new lights and applicances but before countertop/cabinet paint. |
Dad hard at work in Richmond! |
Where the cabinet lay for a few weeks before installation...had to work up the energy and courage! |
Spray primer for plastic was the only thing that would cover the expired wood filler. Sticky. |
Where the microwave lay for MONTHS!! It better work because it's too late to return. |
Microwave prep- that little thing holds that heavy thing? Hmmmm.... |
Thanks for the help Russel!! |
Almost there.... |
The Pier 1 pouf helps a lot. Really. |
Extra long cord- do not look closely in that cubby :) |
Oh...so pretty. Appliances, cubby, lights, paint... all things of beauty to this girl's heart. |
And it all works beautifully. Stop looking at the cord. |
